Guide for Attendees: Signing Up for an Event

Welcome to Event Planner! This guide will help you sign up for an event. The signup process is quick and easy, and you'll be ready to join your fellow attendees in no time.

To sign up for an event, you'll need:

The signup process takes just a few minutes and ensures you're registered and have accepted the necessary safety waivers.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access the Signup Link

  1. You'll receive a signup link from the activity coordinator organizing the event
    • This link may be shared via WhatsApp, Instagram, email, or other communication channels
    • The link will look something like: https://yourwebsite.com/signup.html?id=abc123
    • When shared on social media, the link will show a preview with event details (thanks to Open Graph tags)
  2. Click on the signup link or copy and paste it into your web browser
  3. The signup page will load and display information about the event
    • You'll see the event title (if the activity coordinator provided one), location, activity coordinator name, date/time, and spots available

Step 2: Review Event Details

Before signing up, take a moment to review the event information displayed on the page:

You'll also see a map showing the exact location where the event will start.

Important Make sure the date, time, and location work for you before proceeding with signup.

Step 3: Fill Out the Registration Form

The registration form has several fields. Here's what you need to know:

Name *

Phone Number *

Email Address (Optional)

Instagram Handle (Optional)

Step 4: Read and Accept the Waiver

Before you can complete your registration, you must read and accept the Electronic Waiver of Liability, Media Release, Code of Conduct, and Communication Consent.

  1. Read the waiver: Scroll through the waiver text in the box provided
    • The waiver covers important safety information, liability, media consent, and code of conduct
    • Take your time to read through it carefully

  1. Accept the waiver:
    • Check the box that says: "I accept the Electronic Waiver of Liability, Media Release, Code of Conduct, and Communication Consent. (Required to complete registration)"
    • This checkbox is required - you cannot submit the form without accepting

Note The Sign Up button will remain disabled until you fill in your name, phone number, and accept the waiver.

Step 5: Submit Your Registration

  1. Once you've filled in your name and phone number, and accepted the waiver, the "Sign Up" button will become active
  2. Click the "Sign Up" button to submit your registration
  3. The form will process your submission (this may take a few seconds)

  1. After successful submission, you'll see a success message: "Successfully signed up for the event!"

  1. The form will reset, and the event information will update to show the new number of spots available
Congratulations! You're now registered for the event. The activity coordinator will be able to see your information in their management dashboard.

1️⃣ Click the signup link from the activity coordinator

2️⃣ Review event details:
   • Location & map
   • Date & time
   • Spots available

3️⃣ Fill in:
   • Your name (required)
   • Phone number (required)
   • Email (optional)
   • Instagram (optional)

4️⃣ Read & accept the waiver (required)

5️⃣ Click "Sign Up"

✅ You're registered! The activity coordinator will see your info.
